Puig unveils Colonias Absolutas Puig, a collection of four signature eaux de Cologne crafted by Master Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena. Conceived as a tribute to Puig’s origins, the mediterranean culture of fragrance, and the house’s founding family, this collection reinterprets the essential language of cologne—its lightness, honesty, and evocative power—through a contemporary, precise, and deeply sensory lens.
For more than a century, Puig has drawn inspiration from the Mediterranean: its light, its landscapes, and its culture. Colonias Absolutas Puig channels this heritage, translating the purity and warmth of the region into fragrance. Each composition evokes a story of place and craft: the aromatic intensity of Agua Brava, the refined elegance of Agua Lavanda Iris, the intimate sophistication of Agua Noble, and the luminous, sun-drenched freshness of Agua Mediterránea.
The design of each bottle also honours Puig’s history. Drawing from the silhouette created by André Ricard in 1962 for Agua Lavanda, inspired by traditional Balearic jars, the collection combines essential functionality with cultural memory. The terracotta case, warm to the touch, evokes earth and craftsmanship, making each fragrance not only a scent but a tactile connection to Puig’s heritage.

Jean-Claude Ellena, one of the world’s most influential perfumers, shaped the olfactory identity of the collection. Drawing on mediterranean ingredients and heritage, Ellena created fragrances with clarity, restraint, and enduring sillage. “When they ask me if I am from Grasse, I say I am from the Mediterranean. That culture has its own aroma, one we can wear,” he explains.
